For my first blog I find it only fitting to talk about why I LOVE BeautiControl and what got me hooked on this line of products. Thanks to a great friend and former co-worker I can now say that I truly love my skin and am no longer self conscious about walking around in public with no makeup or hiding behind my hair.
Some people know this story, but it's the best testimony I can give. A little over 3 years ago I was so frustrated of hunting up the cleanser aisle at Target, Walmart, CVS - you name it. I would stand in that aisle for a good 20 minutes going through product lines saying - tried it, tried it, not strong enough, what are those ingredience, tried it... It got so frustrating of a routine every two weeks that my loving husband refused to go in that aisle with me. He could finish all our shopping in the store as well as browse before I picked out something new to try. What I didn't know at the time and have further learned through BeautiControl is that although my skin was acne-prone, it was also sensitive. I could not figure out why when I used a heavy duty acne cleanser then tried to add toner or moisturizer I would break out in little bumps. OR worse I would use the cleanser, not feel clean enough and break out in acne a week or two later.
Upon the strong and persuasive recommendation of my girlfriend I tried all four products in the skincare line. Normally I would try a cleanser and if that was okay I would add something in like moisturizer or a scrub until I broke out in hives or pimples. I have to say that I felt very daring jumping in with both feet. I tried the cleanser, toner, scrub and moisturizer twice a day for a week. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I was completely shocked to see no hives after 1 day - even better I had reduced my painful "granny" pimples and felt clean as well as soft skin after 5 days. There weren't any dry or oily patches on my face!
So my wise girlfriend was right - I love the skincare and haven't looked back. I know I'm not the only one with this problem or the frustration of not knowing what to use for ME. Every girl is different and too many big product lines try to gear their products to the average women. Well guess what big corporations - NO woman is AVERAGE!
My hope with this blog is to share what I have learned about skincare and feature some great products the company has at least twice a week. Please feel free to share this blog with your friends family. Contact me or leave a post should you ever want to try anything out for yourself!
